The US is regarded as mainly liberal and the freest states of the world. The US treaties and constitution ratified by the congress and senate is the basis for human rights of the Americans and is commended by the many people all around the world as a model of the freedom and democracy. Freedom of press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from cruel, the right to bear arms and scarce punishment including torment and the right to a fair trial are basis of Americans bill of rights. Government of America also try to compel human rights in other nations by intervening in their affairs. But what this American version of human rights is?

The US has rejected  a seat in the ‘United Nation Human Rights Council’ from 2006 by claiming that its credibility has lost with constant attacks on Israel’s policy and failure to tackle other right abusers. US has sullied the so called human rights both outside and inside of its nation wherever and whenever it served their interest or opposed to their benefit. This trend has been seen in US policy and has been built up since September 11 and the war on terrorism both outside and inside of America and the reason given by them for such an attitude is National Defense.

Government of US has poised several rights on National Defense ground in different situations and the most imperative example is the recent War against terror and after attacks of 9/11. In few of the cases  the deferral has gone far away so that has been led to the same tyranny and terror that Americans claim to fight with. Just few examples for illuminating the American infringement of human rights and their double standard policies -

A report has been released in 2006 by the United Nation Human Right Council which revealed US citizens and foreign national are seldom detained and moved to secret places and custodies; these people are abused, tortured and humiliated. Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay are symbols of American human right infringement -

Approximately in  6 years since Guantanamo opened, just a one person has been found guilty of any crime and that was by plea contract.” Stated a senior counsel on contradiction terrorism. Of the 305 prisoners held in Guantanamo, just three are expose to commission charges. The photos revealed in 2004, from Abu Ghraib exhibiting abuse and humiliation of  detainees that led to a political scandal. Conversely, while US and international law forbids ill-treatment and torture of any person in custody, government of US claim that this law not used for what they name ‘unlawful combatants’ and US personal acting outside the US. Based on this claim the freedom of detention of war are not applicable to prisoners in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo. The prisoners of these prisons are reserved for an infinite time period and in general don’t receive any trials. The point is- United Nation Human Rights Council ia not having any legal authority or power for stopping the United States and since it was stated priore to US has declined to seat on ‘United Nation Human Rights council’.

America is guilty fro many crimes and wars all-around the world and has been engaged in other countries affairs condemning them for infringement of human rights; America claims that all actions and practices of it are for increase in democracy and freedom and to respect human dignity; America is considered by the majority of people as a model and leader of freedom. However, US claim of human rights is prejudiced and is depend on the interest and benefit of government of America.
